9 month old Check up...but Kellen is 10 months!

So, on August 19th Kellen had his 9 month check up...WITHOUT SHOTS!! YAY! That was a great appointment! Kellen was in a good mood and was so happy to the nurse and his pediatrician. They took all his measurements and here they are!

Head: 18 1/2 inches
Height: 28 3/4 inches
Weight: 21 lbs and 3 1/2 ounces.

He is in the 50% bracket for all stats except his head...LOL, his head measured in the 75%. What can I say, he has a lot of brains! He is doing so well! He crawls and climbs up on everything! He is the most active and fearless little boy that I have ever known. He loves heights (like me, hehehe) and he loves it when we spin him around in circles, dip him upside down and throw him up in the air. We are really having a fun time with him! He now has 8 teeth!!! He went through a phase where several teeth came in all at the same time, but for now it seems like the teething is giving him a break.

Work for Evan and me is going well. Our company is succeeding through this rough economy and keeping us employed. We really are so blessed to be in a company where we don't have to worry about lay offs or hour cut backs. Actually our jobs are keeping us insanely busy, to the point where I have been bringing some work home.

Kellen's FIRST birthday is coming up (October 25), so I hope that I have your address to invite you to one of the TWO parties that we are throwing for his very first birthday. Yes, we have decided to have 2 parties. One in Asheville and one in Indiana. We have amazing friends and family in both states and want to celebrate our baby's first birthday with everyone. I have registered Kellen at Toys r us/Babies r us if you would like to buy him a birthday present. I am hand making his birthday cards over this coming week, so expect to receive your invitation the following week...hopefully I will have enough time and energy to get them all done! The Asheville party will be on Saturday, October 22 from 11am-1pm and the one in Indiana will be on Sunday, October 30 from 1pm-3pm. I am planning on having food and craft stations for children and adults, so I promise that everyone will have a great time. I have to remember to hurry up and reserve the pavilions, so if someone would remind me, I would really appreciate that! We can't wait to see ya'll real soon. Much love to you all!!!
